With support of the University of Canberra, Stromlo Forest Park has a new name!
In June 2023 the ACT Government and the University of Canberra announced a new sponsorship agreement. The park is now known as ‘University of Canberra Stromlo Forest Park’.
This exciting mutually beneficial partnership will see opportunities to explore research and academic collaborations in areas including ecology, sports, health, engineering technology, tourism and the creative industries, among others.
As visitation to the park continues to grow, the sponsorship from the University of Canberra will underpin future projects to maintain and enhance the multi-use facility to ensure it continues to meet visitor’s needs.
The University of Canberra will have access to a world-class sport and recreation facility, through increased collaboration with sporting communities across Australia and internationally. They will have the opportunity to build stronger connection and ties with our community to enable learning, sport and social experiences for students, and this in turn will enhance the university’s research capabilities.
